The office of Divisional Commander NCD/Central and office of the Metropolitan Superintendent NCD are not aware of any planned protest tomorrow.
Commander NCD/Central, Assistant Commissioner Anthony Wagambie Jnr, said, “No individual or groups have formally written or approached us to stage a protest.
“Every protest or public gathering must have the approval of the Police in consultation with the Provincial Peace and Good Order Committee.
“A lot has been circulated over social media about an intended protest.
“I assure everyone that business will be as usual tomorrow and that Police will be patrolling and showing presence around Port Moresby.”
Assistant Commissioner Wagambie urged schools , businesses and government services to continue as usual.
